1. PLACES / HURRICANE RIDGE - BIG MEADOW, CIRQUE RIDGE AND HIGH RIM TRAILS
This connection of three short nature trails offers incredible views of the Olympic Mountains, the Straight of Juan de Fuca, and even the Cascade Mountains on a clear day. The Big Meadow and Cirque Rim trails are paved with gentle grades making them stroller and wheelchair accessible (with assistance). The High Ridge Trail offers a steeper grade leading to views of Canada and more opportunity to witness wildlife. Pets and bicycles are not allowed on these trails. The nearby visitors center offers maps, snacks, and more, and is open daily during the summer and on weekends whenthe road is open. Helpful Trail Information

Junior Ranger Program, Picnic Area, Ranger Led Hikes, Viewpoint, Visitor Center, and Wildlife Viewing The spring offers gorgeous wildflowers and blacktail deer (and the occasional bear in the distance). Winter offers snowshoeing and sledding. Be sure to stop into the Olympic National Park Visitor Center on the way there (not to be confused with the Hurricane Ridge Visitors Center). It is located a mile south of Port Angeles on Mount Angeles Road and offers chuldren’s exhibits, a bookstore, and so much more!
