Helpful Trail Information
The Ridgeline Nature Loop trail begins at the Sawtooth Trailhead. There is a bathroom and large trail sign at the beginning of the trail. Follow the gravel-paved trail to stay on the nature loop; the dirt trails are part of the Sawtooth Trail, which is a different trail. This is a great trail for beginning mountain bikers, balance bikes/striders, hiking for all skill levels, joggers, and carrying children. It's an excellent place to practice tandem carrying, too.
What gear would you suggest a family bring along?
Water, sunscreen, hats, layers, close-toed shoes, bicycles and helmets.
What baby or child hazards are there on this hike?
Mountain bikers on nearby trails sometimes cross this trail; there's a small seasonal pond; one section has a bit of a steep drop-off (that also has a great view!)

Parking Details
When you turn onto the fire road, keep driving until you see a bathroom, parking area, and trail sign. That is the parking lot for the Sawtooth Trailhead and the Ridgeline Nature Loop.
