Creek, water, rocks, logs. animals. bugs, near some housing. might have to share trail with other hikers. 

What gear would you suggest a family bring along?

Essentials: please bring a lunch and snacks to carry with you; plenty of water; durable close-toed shoes for climbing rocks & logs; weather-appropriate layers; sunscreen; hats; first aid kit; hand sanitizer/wipes for lunchtime; baby carrier for little ones. A change of clothes to keep in your car could also come in handy. bear spray, ug spray, Outdoor terrain stroller. carrier, a wagon could work.
