Hike it Baby is designed to enrich and deepen opportunities for families with children ages 0-5 to continue growing up outdoors and building community together. Through our free community outings calendar and Family Trail Guide, families can lead and join outings in their own communities and find new places to explore with a family-friendly lens focused on getting outside with young children. Our Outside Guide training equips local caregivers with the skills to host inclusive and accommodating outings, ensuring that families of all backgrounds, abilities, and experience levels can participate.

Our volunteer Outside Guides host thousands of local outings annually, helping over 280,000 families get outside with their babies and young children over the last decade. By completing a quick, free online training, Outside Guides can add to our events calendar and Family Trail Guide, ensuring families can access welcoming, safe, and fun ways to get outside in their local communities year-round.
